Each year, the Lenten journey begins in a desert - one in which Jesus is tempted - to end in a garden - where Mary Magdalene met the Risen Lord. The Spirit seems to lead Jesus into the desert because ... him through the many deserts of our personal lives and the broader history of the world will return to bloom in the hope and joy.
Another symbol framing these forty days: the imposition of ashes which are opened and the new fire being kindled in Sleep Pasquale.Lo Holy Spirit, the breath of God blowing in our lives to revive the fire that so often risks being buried under the ashes of our unfaithfulness and sins. This transition from desert to garden, from the ashes of the fire, is nothing but a path of death and resurrection at Easter of the Lord: This is the old man dying to be reborn to the new man created in the image and likeness of ' only-begotten Son of the Father. The Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of adoption, remodels continually transforming our lives into a life office, we are children of God! It does this by conducting ourselves in the wilderness of trial and temptation. The test is nothing more than a place of discernment, which we have to decide what word we want to live: that of the enemy, suggests that "close hold your life in your hands", or that of the Spirit: "confided in hands of Father "and accept the good that he makes you really vivere.Sii son
